Get fit to work with mediation

The new Fit Notes make clear that employers need to offer support to staff who need it in order for them to return to work. All too often it is unresolved workplace conflict which causes staff to feel too stressed to work; and the signs are that workplace stress is likely to increase, as staff and managers face more pressure to deliver results. There is an easy way for employers to meet their responsibilities in these situations, perhaps where someone cannot face a difficult work relationship, or has made a formal complaint which has now been resolved and they are required to return to work with a colleague they have complained about. It’s called ‘return to work’ mediation and is something we have been doing successfully for many years.
