Conflict Coaching
Conflict Management coaching for managers
When you receive continual informal complaints about an employee or become aware that someone’s behaviour often generates conflict situations, you can support them with a Conflict Coach from CMP. We are also often contacted to provide conflict coaching to people who have been identified through a grievance or disciplinary process as needing additional skills development or support in changing their behaviours at work.
Training courses are too generic, and don’t provide enough personal attention to people who need to reflect on their workplace persona and evolve a more constructive way of relating to others.
Our conflict coaches have years of experience helping people identify beliefs and behaviours which can result in difficult working relationships. They work constructively and supportively with individuals, using a tailored approach to address difficult issues and habits. Your employee will learn, privately and confidentially, the new skills they need to be able to build and maintain constructive working relationships.
Our Conflict Coaches can work with all grades of managers, from supervisors to C-level. Before making any commitment on either side, our nominated coach would meet with the potential coachee and ensure that both parties feel the relationship will be a positive one.
Benefits of conflict coaching
Managers can:
- Explore how they communicate and the way they come across to others, receiving constructive and specific feedback from a supportive yet challenging ‘mirror’
- Explore, in private and in confidence, their feelings and perceptions about diversity and equality issues.
- Build more effective interpersonal skills going back to basics such as how to listening, how to ask questions, ways managers can influence and persuade others, and how to give and generate respect
- Manage the risk of future complaints – avoiding the human, emotional and financial costs of a potential future grievance or displinary
- Working with a company like CMP ensures that your organisational requirements are met.
These are often sensitive situations involving senior managers. Please phone Katherine Graham, Managing Director at CMP, on 0844 504 8874 to discuss your situation in confidence and to set up an initial meeting.
