Mediation

In recessionary times, don't trust your mediation to amateurs

During a recession it is vital to make every penny count, and while mediation can achieve exceptional outcomes in the right hands, it does come with a price tag. When you have a conflict that is suitable for mediation, make sure you chose the right provider. Law firms charge lawyer fees; and newly qualified mediators don't have the experience to ensure maximum success. When you select CMP to provide a professional mediation service you are buying expertise in workplace mediation that is second to none, at value-for-money fees. We can undertake a two-party mediation in one day; and to minimise costs for group mediation we use a range of methods including 'remote' mediation. Our service includes full evaluation; post-case follow up with parties; and phone and email support to parties and the client for 12 months.

If you're not sure whether a case is suitable for mediation, click here to see our checklist. If you are considering mediation but the parties haven't come on board, we are happy to speak with them by phone to encourage them to take up the mediation option at no extra cost and with no obligation.

For some organisations it makes sense to establish an internal mediation service; and our 20 years' experience - including being the provider of choice for the Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) - means that you are in safe hands. We have set up mediation schemes for organisations as varied as Barnados and Citi: see our client list for synopses of the work we have completed and our case studies to view ROI measures. Our mediation training programmes - both our ILM endorsed 'Qualified Workplace Mediator' programme and our OCR accredited 'Certificate in Mediation' come with full scoping and debriefing; an implementation pack for your mediation service; and a year's email and phone support for your service and mediators. Additionally, CMP back up any provision with full ROI measurement using our unique cost of conflict analytic and work to clear and tailored service level agreements.

Your mediators will learn the Interactive Mediation© model; a mixture of facilitative and problem-solving mediation which we developed specifically for the workplace.  Interactive Mediation© is not available from any other provider, so whether you use our independent mediation service, or source your accredited mediation training from us, you are not only adhering to government guidelines and legislation, but also benefiting from the increased performance potential of your employees.

Our three mediation pathways provide different ways of using mediation to change your conflict culture. If you are considering investing in this type of culture change, we have a benchmarking tool and Cost of Conflict tool to enable you to identify your skill and performance gaps, and measure the return on your investment.
