Investigation Training
Our training for workplace investigators is the UK’s benchmark course and is a blended learning programme leading to the ILM endorsed Qualified Workplace Investigator certificate. The Independent Police Complaints Commission selected our training for their internal investigators, which is testimony to our standards and rigour, while the VT Group comment that we ‘lead the field’.
The days are long gone when it was enough to say, ‘I’m a senior manager with years of experience, of course I can investigate this complaint fairly and fully’.
Tribunals expect better and come down hard on poor or inconsistent practice (read John Crawley’s White Paper: Investing in Workplace Investigation – Effectively managing the risk of grievances and disciplinaries).
You can get the level of training you need, whether it is:
- A full qualification in workplace investigations, ideal if your investigating officers do lots of investigations, or take final responsibility for the investigations done by other people; also available as a public training programme
-

- Reduce the number of appeals as the investigation will be experienced as neutral and professional
- Minimise the number of ET claims lost due to process failure or poor judgement by the investigators
- Increase the uptake of informal resolution as investigators will be able to identify where parties might be better served through mediation
