Professional mediator training
We have been training people to become professional mediators for over 20 years. You can chose a generic mediation certificate, which exceeds the standards set by the Civil Mediation Council and is suitable for people wanting to mediate homeless, substance abuse, community, SEN and health disputes. Or if you want to become a qualified Workplace Mediator, our ILM endorsed programme is the UK’s national qualification in mediation.
Becoming a mediator means being able to help others have difficult, often demanding conversations. It means putting aside your own judgements and problem solving instincts, and finding a supportive and facilitative way of relating to others. It’s harder than it may seem, which is why we spend 40 hours in classroom training, and offer 12 months phone and email support afterwards.
National Certificate in Workplace Mediation
We pioneered workplace mediation and our training is second to none. We train mediators to respond to difficult workplace situations and reduce behavioural risk around interpersonal differences. This is the training programme selected by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills‘ own mediators. BIS is the Government Department responsible for dispute resolution at work, and they were delighted with what our training has provided them with. During the training, you learn through a variety of training methods designed specifically to create the highest levels of skills, competencies and understanding. So successful completion of this programme is a genuine endorsement of your mediation skills and abilities.
This 6-day course is endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and will teach you the Interactive Mediation skills to mediate any two-party dispute including those which are characterised by issues of equality and diversity.

Nationally Accredited Certificate in Mediation Skills
This generic mediation training programme will skill you to resolve homelessness, substance abuse, neighbourhood, SEN, health and of course workplace disputes.
The 6-day course is nationally accredited by Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR). It is delivered by trainers who are practicing mediators; and comes with 12 months free support post-training and a complete pack of materials to set up, market, manage and monitor your service. Trainees get individual coaching and a written report on their strengths and areas for development 15 days after the course ends.

The Essential Mediation Certificate
For companies which don’t have the time or need to invest in a full qualification, our 4-day Essential Mediation ILM endorsed course will develop the skills to mediate most situations competently and confidently and trainees can upgrade to the full ILM certificate at any point. It comes with 12 months phone and email support; and full training materials to support the learning.
